MEET ALEX MORRIS

"I am a native South Carolinian, a proud husband and father, a Citadel graduate, and a third-generation military veteran. I have been driven to public service my entire life.

I have spent years working in the office of Congressman Joe Wilson, where I help people through constituent services. In the military, I have supported domestic operations like our responses to hurricanes, and I have taken the fight overseas to our nation’s adversaries in the Horn of Africa. I'm still serving today as a company commander in Charleston, SC.

Locally, I've served on boards including the Palmetto Military Academy, and the school my sons attend. Every year, I volunteer to cook for the children attending Vacation Bible School at our church.

To me, public service is not a stepping stone or a career opportunity, it is its own reward. I'm running to represent you to help make our community and state a better place to live, work, and raise our children. I would be honored to have your vote!"

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Much of this region, especially Calhoun and Orangeburg Counties, needs to attract more jobs.
I will work hard to make sure the people of this District can
live near good-paying jobs.

As a National Guard officer, I work
to keep South Carolina safe. I will put that experience to work, supporting law enforcement and first responders.

SCHOOLS

As someone involved in the school my
sons attend, I am very much in support of education. A good
education opened doors for me and I want to make sure it does for others.
